Fantastic breakdown. The part about X getting fined€35M for showing ads in a spreadsheet instead of a queryable website interface is wild. Basically penalizing a company for format choice while claiming its about transparency. Iv noticed how DSA enforcement picks technical implementation details and calls them violations, which feels more like regulatory nitpicking than actual harm prevention.

It strikes me that EU governments are citing figures in excess of 70% of the public being in favour of restricting access to the internet for 15 year olds and younger as justification for the ban. I’m dead sure that a similar figure would apply to the opposition to mass immigration but there is absolutely no chance of the EU acting on this in the same way.
