I think the idea of a billionaire tax stinks, mainly because the money goes to governments and gets politicized / spent by politicians. The biggest mistake we ever made, as a nation, was giving governments (ergo politicians) way too much money to spend.

50 years ago I was a social justice advocate, but over time the meaning of “social justice” has changed. Current wealth / income disparity is the core problem, and taxes are definitely not the solution. Government, itself, is a big part of the problem. I don’t know the answer, and I don’t think anyone in politics does either.

Maybe the place to start is with what happened during Covid; maybe someone objective can explain specifically, and in great detail, exactly how and why, the lower 90% of America transferred such a massive amount of wealth to the upper 10%. Lots of people have talked about this, but nobody seems interested in reversing the wealth transfer. Someone in our government should be very concerned about the Covid $ transfer, and the fact that the government may have been, in part at least, a facilitator and conduit for transferring wealth from the relatively poor to the insanity rich.

Apple opposes the government!!!

They complied with everything during lockdowns and even installed the Track and Trace app by stealth but they now don’t want to assist the police with terrorist activities and child porn!

Sums up big tech.
