Thanks for this! It's so important that people understand how flawed this system is.

Regarding informed consent, it's worth noting that patients rarely receive enough information about commonly prescribed drugs to constitute informed consent. They aren't told, for example, that many common anti-depressants are extremely difficult to stop - sometimes impossible - due to debilitating withdrawal symptoms. And it's the same with some anti-anxiety drugs that can cause extreme long-term nerve pain and other symptoms when withdrawn.

It's crucial that we realize that medical research and especially drug testing, is rarely independent of bias.

If you don't have completely information, you can't be said to be "informed", so you are not able to give informed consent. It's perhaps time to expand the details provided for income consent, and also adding a requirement that the givers of those drugs also read and sign the same statement. For e.g. for vaccines, vaccinators should have read and acknowledge that they know the manufacturers are indemnified from liability.

The big Pharma think they are invincible as people damaged by their pills cannot afford to take them to court.. so they continue on their profit making journey inflicting more damage than good.

Thank you, Hannes, for this article. It has brought up something i have overlooked and will now be investigating - how to stop the brain fog.

I have been enlightened by so many things Dr Clare Craig has said and done, including sharing about her own personal experience as a professional and as a householder, mother. She lives up to her name Clare - an anagram for clear.

I am currently reading her book Expired: Covid the Untold Story. It is well conceived, closely following evidence and logic. I now understand why Neil Fergusson’s modelling for Covid was so wrong: she has pointed out the assumptions on which that modelling of covid cases and deaths was based and how those very assumptions contradicted what was already known about how SARS Covi and other coronaviruses as well as influenza-like illnesses generally would behave. One wonders why such contradictions were built into the ‘model that destroyed the economies of the world’. Not that the model was alone in that. It had a lot of heavyweight cheerleaders.

Keep up the good work!

Primum non nocere and adults protecting their children are twin principles should be sacrosanct. Yet recently they have been abused in the most appalling way.

Yet, it's your third 'principle' that really sticks in my craw, that of informed consent. We need (and at the very least deserve) to be informed honestly and openly by the medical profession and politicians, to be able to make proper decisions for us and our children. I've said before that those in authority have the ultimate privilege; namely looking after us. That they abuse that fundamental is nothing short of criminal.

Keep doing what you're doing Clare because one of the biggest tragedies here is that the majority of people have no idea just how badly they are being shafted - or choose to be blind to it.

Dear Clair,

I have been on antidepressant medications for thirty years, for “clinical depression “, with ‘Efexor’ (venlafaxine) for much of that time to the present.

About four years ago our drug purchasing agency in NZ ,’ Pharmac’ changed its supply to a cheaper version.

I changed to this but felt awful so went back to the Pfizer product despite the unsubsidised high price of it.

I now suspect that Pfizer put a very addictive additive into their product which the alternative version doesn’t have. It is generally said that getting off Efexor is worse that getting off heroine.

I think the long term use of this stuff is negatively affecting my health.

Thankyou for reading

Dr. Clare Craig is a Godsend. I had this saved since the 19th. Finally made the time to read it and pleased I did. Liked, shared, and filed for future reference, and perhaps some assistance with some enlightening.

The current medical system (pretty much across the world) is fundamentally broken. This has been caused by terrible leadership at best, and by evil leadership at worst… for many decades. Root and branch reform is required across the board, but is very very unlikely because of the gravy train being enjoyed by those in power. Can someone like JFK make a difference? I doubt it, he will simply not be powerful enough, and will have his efforts deflected by the evil medical community leadership. I hope I am wrong.

All prescriptions change over time. I was on blood pressure tablets for years no problems then latest prescription had a different name and Sizer of pills. Made me so ill. I will follow a healthier way to keep my blood pressure down not depend on the profit making Pharma.
