I am a chemist and understand the thermodynamics of energy conversion as presented by the author. However, I also understand the importance of Carbon Dioxide in the life cycle of living things. The fact is that Carbon Dioxide is necessary for plant growth and demonizing it and having public policy that requires it to be removed from the atmosphere by pumping it into abandoned oil wells is simply wrong. Removing Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere would require removing all living things, including humans, from the planet.
