“Under the leadership of Elon Musk, a visionary who values freedom….” !!!

You lot have become so obsessed with woke issues that you have taken leave of your senses. Musk may value freedom but he loves himself more, and busily censors those who criticise him on X. Trump: busy censoring and controlling academia, research, protests about Palestine etc etc. All presidents have tended to use the administration to act against their personal or ideologic and ideological opponents, but Trump uses them to enrich himself, his family and his cronies. Why not accept a $400m plane gift from a foreign government? What could be wrong with that? Still, they are all right on about the trans gender issue, and that is what counts.

Enjoyed reading this, thanks.

Personally I don't agree that Elon Musk really cares about freedom of expression, but that he is the actor, controlled by the hidden, established order, who plays the part of someone who cares about freedom of expression.

If you want to know some of the fundamental truths, or lies, then look at what people who are banned by X are saying, for unless what they are saying is harmful or abusive, why would it be banned? for nobody gets banned simply for telling what are thought to be lies by those with the power to do the censoring.

The truth looks after itself, there is no need to protect it from lies,

You might be right, perhaps. I personally hope that this clown show is not that overwhelming, hopefully there are some room for genuine billionaires as well in Western society. But obviously it is more hope than certain truth.

But without that final hope - which another country there is left for people to hope for?

Completely agree! And without "freedom of reach," free speech looks a lot like talking to yourself.
