Do you know of a protocol or a standard of care on how to distinguish flu symptoms from covid-19? Where I come from the only way to distinguish flu from covid-19 was the PCR test.
Covid PCR testing was a key element of the “plandemic” as it generated so many false positives, especially when used at excessively high amplifications, such as from old viral fragments (not necessarily Covid), from people who had the illness perhaps months previously but who were no longer infectious and from people who had an extremely low viral load of negligible significance. Someone joked that you could take a swab from the sole of your shoe and it would probably test positive.
This was a pre-planned, globally coordinated ploy to ramp up the fearmongering and the number of supposed “cases” and, very importantly, to facilitate the false attribution of deaths to Covid, many of which were iatrogenic or primarily due to co-morbidities.
I have no idea. All I know about Italy in the context of Covid is that under WEF puppet Draghi, Italy was one of the most extreme leaders of the “plandemic” in pushing vaccine passports, “no jab, no job”, home quarantines, etc.
The MSM like to peddle the line that Northern Italy was hard hit by Covid because it suffers bad air pollution but I find this hard to believe. One factoid about Northern Italy which was originally reported but quickly dropped was that there was a high level of air travel between there and China (specifically Wuhan!) because the Chinese are heavily invested in the Italian silk business. I’m not making that up, but I admit I have not researched it myself!
What I am driving at is that evidence from Italy further supports the facts that SARS COV2 could not have been a new pathogen causing a new disease called covid-19, which was identified based on one patient in Wuhan in December 2019. It doesn't matter what its origins are. The reason why I had asked about the protocols for diagnosis of covid-19 vs flu is because there were none.
No doctor I know, or worked with, could distinguish the flu from covid-19. That's why the PCR test was needed to rebrand the seasonal flu into a "novel pathogen". There wasn't a new pathogen. It's all a big lie.

In VARERS for adverse event "Death" for COVID-19 mRNA and adenoviral vaccines, there is an immediate day of onset pattern for the first 3 days - that roughly normalizes to 1, 1/2, and 1/4. This pattern is consistent with a surge of innate immune responses to vaccination with elevated histamine and other inflammatory molecules. Histamine is well known to be associated with cardiac adverse events. The data is also skewed heavily for older adults - whom, presumably have lower tolerance for histamine surges, etc.

I don't doubt you remember that, in Europe's autumn 2020, before the covid vaccines had come out, British were encouraged to take the flu vaccine instead, & were told that there might be some protection from covid from a flu vaccine. As soon as this happened, I smelt rat...
I recount my own experiences with 21 yearly flu vaccine's in an article on my Substack, but, to put it succinctly, the flu vaccine does not help with a coronavirus infection & in fact, can be known to make coronavirus much worse. This explained my own failures with the flu vaccine. I would often get lingering & sometimes quite nasty chest infections mid-winter despite the flu vaccine & it was only while studying vaccines in 2020 that I learned what might have been going wrong.
They call it "Virus Interference". This describes cases where a recipient of the flu vaccine catches a coronavirus instead & because the immune system has been primed for flu, it cannot mount an effective defence against coronavirus. This results in more serious, longer illness. I concluded that my sometimes nasty, lingering respiratory infections were being caused by coronaviruses & that my flu vaccine was making things worse. I found several studies illustrating this issue in autumn 2020 & warned folks that if there really was a nasty coronavirus circulating taking the flu vaccine could be entirely counter-productive. Not that anyone listened to me but you do what you can.

Anthony Fauci and co-authors acknowledged these products were rubbish in an article published in January this year.

Yearly flu vaccines include proteins from 3 or 4 currently circulating strains (hemagglutinin and neuraminidase). Flu uses antigen variation to vary highly immunogenic surface residues (antigens) to escape immune responses. Hence, yearly flu vaccines are focusing immune responses to the wrong targets. Masking, social distancing, lack testing, etc. blinded the patterns for the last 3 years.

What if the part of the narrative about a "novel virus" was also a lie? How could it be done? The PCR test can be calibrated in such a way so that most of what it detects is covid-19. I'm sure many frontline workers can confirm the "phenomenon" when their testing machines, like Biofire or other, were upgraded with a new testing kit (chip) to detect covid-19, most, if not all their previously flu positive patients became covid-19 positive.
In Canada, most flu disappeared between March and April 2020 when most of the upgrades happened and the cycle threshold was set between 35-45 cycles to make sure every patient was covid-19 positive only. Obviously, similar must have happened worldwide as flu "vanished" everywhere where the new protocols were implemented.
I know thats how it was done. I've seen it firsthand. There was never a pandemic in Canada. The hospitals were empty with less excess deaths than in 2016-2017 flu season.
Does someone know if “cases” were calculated differently pre and post-2020? I thought pre-2020 a flu case was someone who either was hospitalized or died as a direct result of the flu. This definition for calculation would differ vastly from post-2020 in which a positive test result was calculated as a case. The two are very different.

How can it be justifiable to pressure Australians of all ages and health status, including children 12 years and up, to submit to experimental injections, which apparently don't prevent infection nor transmission, and with unknown duration of 'immunity', for a disease that isn't a serious threat to most people? This is especially concerning for children. Children aren't at serious risk of covid.[5] Why are young people being set up for these medical interventions - with no long-term safety data - potentially for life?
John Ioannidis, can you please clarify why you recommended Australia "push for vaccination very fast..." when your own work shows covid-19 is not a serious risk for most people?
What expertise do you have in viruses and vaccines to support your push for Australia to vaccinate against a disease which you know isn't a serious risk for most people?
You say "you have very few people infected" [in Australia]. Upon what evidence are you basing this opinion? Isn't it likely many people may be protected by cross-immunity from infection with other coronaviruses, and that children are protected by their strong innate immunity? See for example this article: Pre-existing immunity to Covid-19 - Marc Girardot of PANDA unpacks its evolution.[6]
In a paper published in September last year, you said "People <65 years old have very small risks of COVID-19 death even in pandemic epicenters and deaths for people <65 years without underlying predisposing conditions are remarkably uncommon. Strategies focusing specifically on protecting high-risk elderly individuals should be considered in managing the pandemic".[7]
Similarly, your subsequent paper suggests an infection fatality rate of 0.05% for the under 70s.[8]
Given these facts, why is covid-19 being promoted as such a dangerous disease in Australia and around the world?
Why has there not been a proportionate and targeted response to this disease as you suggest, i.e. "strategies focusing specifically on protecting high-risk elderly individuals" for example, quickly developing treatments for the vulnerable, rather than fear-mongering and promoting universal covid vaccination?

Yearly flu vaccines include proteins from 3 or 4 currently circulating strains (hemagglutinin and neuraminidase). Flu uses antigen variation to vary highly immunogenic surface residues (antigens) to escape immune responses. Hence, yearly flu vaccines are focusing immune responses to the wrong targets. Masking, social distancing, lack testing, etc. blinded the patterns for the last 3 years.
What if the part of the narrative about a "novel virus" was also a lie? How could it be done? The PCR test can be calibrated in such a way so that most of what it detects is covid-19. I'm sure many frontline workers can confirm the "phenomenon" when their testing machines, like Biofire or other, were upgraded with a new testing kit (chip) to detect covid-19, most, if not all their previously flu positive patients became covid-19 positive.
In Canada, most flu disappeared between March and April 2020 when most of the upgrades happened and the cycle threshold was set between 35-45 cycles to make sure every patient was covid-19 positive only. Obviously, similar must have happened worldwide as flu "vanished" everywhere where the new protocols were implemented.
I know thats how it was done. I've seen it firsthand. There was never a pandemic in Canada. The hospitals were empty with less excess deaths than in 2016-2017 flu season.

Does someone know if “cases” were calculated differently pre and post-2020? I thought pre-2020 a flu case was someone who either was hospitalized or died as a direct result of the flu. This definition for calculation would differ vastly from post-2020 in which a positive test result was calculated as a case. The two are very different.

In Australia, people aged 12 and over are now under intense pressure to submit to covid-19 injections.[2] This is in response to modelling from the Doherty Institute, particularly a scenario suggesting a 70/80% vaccine coverage of the population (16+ years) is needed before restrictions are lifted.[3] Emma McArthur has challenged the Doherty modelling and its influence on Australian Government policy, see: Is Australia being held to ransom thanks to 'scientific fiction' by the Doherty Institute? 2 September 2021.
John Ioannidis, it was known from the beginning that most people infected with SARS-CoV-2 will only "experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment", as acknowledged by the WHO.[4] (See copy attached.)
How can it be justifiable to pressure Australians of all ages and health status, including children 12 years and up, to submit to experimental injections, which apparently don't prevent infection nor transmission, and with unknown duration of 'immunity', for a disease that isn't a serious threat to most people? This is especially concerning for children. Children aren't at serious risk of covid.[5] Why are young people being set up for these medical interventions - with no long-term safety data - potentially for life?
John Ioannidis, can you please clarify why you recommended Australia "push for vaccination very fast..." when your own work shows covid-19 is not a serious risk for most people?
What expertise do you have in viruses and vaccines to support your push for Australia to vaccinate against a disease which you know isn't a serious risk for most people?
You say "you have very few people infected" [in Australia]. Upon what evidence are you basing this opinion? Isn't it likely many people may be protected by cross-immunity from infection with other coronaviruses, and that children are protected by their strong innate immunity? See for example this article: Pre-existing immunity to Covid-19 - Marc Girardot of PANDA unpacks its evolution.[6]
In a paper published in September last year, you said "People <65 years old have very small risks of COVID-19 death even in pandemic epicenters and deaths for people <65 years without underlying predisposing conditions are remarkably uncommon. Strategies focusing specifically on protecting high-risk elderly individuals should be considered in managing the pandemic".[7]
Similarly, your subsequent paper suggests an infection fatality rate of 0.05% for the under 70s.[8]
Given these facts, why is covid-19 being promoted as such a dangerous disease in Australia and around the world?
Why has there not been a proportionate and targeted response to this disease as you suggest, i.e. "strategies focusing specifically on protecting high-risk elderly individuals" for example, quickly developing treatments for the vulnerable, rather than fear-mongering and promoting universal covid vaccination?
John Ioannidis, given you have sought to influence Australia's response to covid-19 by urging Australia to "push for vaccination very fast...", I request your response on this matter.
